The Law Office of Bayne & Associates is a Washington-DC based law firm practicing food, drug, medical device and cosmetic law, with a particular focus on matters pertaining to the regulation of human and animal foods, dietary supplements, and botanical products by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and other federal and state regulatory agencies.

Cassandra A. Soltis – Of Counsel

Cassandra Soltis first met Holly Bayne in 1998 when they practiced food and drug law together at Hyman, Phelps, & McNamara, P.C. Before entering private practice, Cassandra worked in the legal affairs department of the Center for Science in the Public Interest, a non-profit consumer advocacy group, where she focused on food labeling, advertising, and food safety issues. She received her undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University (summa cum laude) and her law degree from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law. In December 2011, Cassandra received a Master of Science degree in Exercise Science from The George Washington University, with a concentration in excercise, nutrition and eating behaviors. She currently serves as an Advisory Panel Member for the Institute of Food Technologists’ Annual Wellness Conference. Cassandra is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia.
